Zebra in a glass

So today Talia decided to get rid of some of the old glasses that we got when we first moved in together. They have served us well but many of them have cracked and chipped so as a result we got new glasses a couple weeks ago. This unfortunately (or fortunately) left us with far to many glasses in our cupboards.

So what do we do with these extra glasses? what else but plant in them. Specifically plant Zebra succulants to give to friends.

This little plant is going to Tashy. He was actually an offshoot of the zebra plant that Talia got a year ago that I had to try and save from the ants and it looks to be doing fairly well. When I was trying to save the plant from the ants I ended up breaking the single plant into 5 or 6 smaller offshoot plants which is where this one came from. We still have 4 more around the house so if anyone wants one let me know and I will see what I can do.

Probably the coolest thing about these guys is that they are super easy to take care of. This one had no root at all and only the smallest of little root buds when I separated him from the others. Since then he has lived in an egg carton on some soil that I water about once a week. And I have seen no complaints from him.
